An exceptional Apollo 11 signed display, personally signed by all three members of the historic crew — Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins — celebrating one of the defining achievements in human history.

At the heart of this substantial presentation are original autographs from the three astronauts who undertook humanity’s first successful crewed lunar landing. Bringing together the signatures of Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins, the display creates a remarkable connection to the men who travelled aboard Apollo 11 and changed the course of exploration forever.

Apollo 11 launched from Kennedy Space Center on 16 July 1969, carrying Commander Neil Armstrong, Lunar Module Pilot Buzz Aldrin and Command Module Pilot Michael Collins. Four days later, Armstrong and Aldrin descended to the lunar surface aboard Eagle, landing in the Sea of Tranquility, while Collins remained in lunar orbit aboard the Command Module Columbia. Armstrong became the first human to walk on the Moon, followed shortly afterwards by Aldrin. 

The display is dominated by one of the most enduring images of the mission: Buzz Aldrin standing on the lunar surface beside the American flag, photographed by Neil Armstrong. The composition is complemented by individual portraits of Armstrong, Collins and Aldrin, an Apollo 11 mission patch and engraved plaques recalling some of the words forever associated with the mission. 

Each astronaut played an indispensable role in Apollo 11. Armstrong commanded the mission and took humanity’s first steps on another world; Aldrin joined him on the lunar surface; and Collins piloted Columbia alone in lunar orbit, awaiting the return of his crewmates from the surface. Together, the three completed the objective set earlier in the decade: landing humans on the Moon and returning them safely to Earth. 

The original signed elements are individually mounted within the larger presentation, surrounded by carefully selected imagery commemorating the mission. The substantial black frame, metallic detailing and predominantly monochrome lunar photography create a sophisticated, museum-style presentation befitting the historical significance of the signatures.
